We offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation by telephone, Zoom or in person at your home, giving you flexibility in how you access our services.

Based in Brentwood, we provide home consultations across Essex, London, Hertfordshire and Kent. Telephone and Zoom consultations are available throughout the UK.

Appointments are available on weekdays, with evening and weekend options to suit a range of schedules.

During your initial consultation, we take the time to understand your personal circumstances, family situation and what you would like to achieve. We’ll answer your questions and explain the options available to you clearly, in plain English and without unnecessary legal jargon.

Depending on your circumstances, we may discuss services beyond a Will, such as a Lasting Power of Attorney, and recommend what may be appropriate for you. If you decide to proceed with a Will, we can also begin taking your instructions during the consultation.

There is no pressure to make a decision. Our aim is to ensure you understand your options and feel confident about the next steps.

Once we understand your requirements and you have chosen the appropriate service, including our fixed-fee Will options, we prepare your documents based on your circumstances and instructions.

One of our expert Will drafters will prepare your draft, which is carefully reviewed by our team before being sent to you. We welcome your feedback and can make any necessary amendments to ensure it accurately reflects your wishes.

Once you are happy with the final document, your completed Will is then securely returned to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

If your circumstances or wishes change in the future, we can review your Will and advise whether it should be amended or replaced.

If you die without a valid Will, your estate will generally be distributed according to the rules of intestacy. This means the law determines who inherits your money, property and other assets, which may not reflect your wishes.

If you have children, a partner or other family members, the outcome can vary depending on your circumstances. Dying without a Will can also make the administration of your estate more complicated and may create additional uncertainty for those you leave behind.

Making a Will allows you to decide who should inherit your estate and can give you greater control and peace of mind about what happens to your assets after your death.

Yes. Your Will can be changed if your circumstances or wishes change. This could include changes to your family circumstances, finances, beneficiaries or other personal arrangements.

Depending on the changes required, we can advise whether your existing Will can be amended or whether a new Will should be prepared. Any changes should be made formally to ensure your wishes remain legally valid and clearly expressed.

We recommend reviewing your Will regularly and whenever there is a significant change in your circumstances.

If you lose mental capacity without having a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) in place, your family or loved ones cannot automatically make health and financial decisions on your behalf. They may need to apply to the Court of Protection to become a deputy, which can be a lengthy and more costly process.

Putting an LPA in place allows you to choose trusted people to make decisions for you if you are no longer able to do so yourself. We can help you prepare your LPA and ensure it is correctly completed and registered, giving you and your loved ones greater peace of mind for the future.

Probate is generally needed when someone dies and their estate includes assets that cannot be accessed or transferred without a Grant of Probate. This can include property, bank accounts, investments and other assets held in the deceased’s sole name.
